Daylight savings time plus two March eclipses… it’s enough to make even a teetotaler feel hung-over.
Come to think of it, the Saturn-Neptune square, which began last November and reigns strong over the whole of 2016 and into 2017, really set the stage for the current malaise. We’re watching as tired, old structures, around which we’ve ordered our lives and our world, dissolve. It’s triggering global insecurity and uncertainty. If there’s a positive spin to this Saturn-Neptune aspect it’s that it challenges us to move beyond blame and the idealization of the good ole days, and face up responsibly to the work hard it’s going to take to make planetary wholeness a reality. This is happening in our personal lives, too. Are you ready?
The March eclipse season makes room for the new by bringing us face-to-face with something old, which we’ve allowed to define us or our way of life… a wound, a belief, an experience, a role, a habit. It’s uncomfortable and intense to see it for what it is. When we finally accept that something’s finished and there’s no going back, we can begin to move forward.
The Aries time of year is upon us, a time for new paths, new ideas, and new dreams. Impatient Mars in Sagittarius wants to get us “there” overnight, but that’s unlikely to happen with the action planet slowing down as it prepares for its biennial retrograde dance next month. Rather than galloping towards the future, many of us are feeling flat- out exhausted.
Mars retrograde, which extends from mid April til the end of June, offers ten weeks to regroup, to conserve energy and to clean up our acts, so we’ll have the resilience and stamina to explore those new horizons and materialize a holistic planetary vision.
How we do that is another question. Each of us has at least one person to look after… ourselves! Get ready to commit to something that supports body-mind- and spirit to off-set stress. Regular exercise, bodywork, acupuncture, or a nutritional overhaul can help replenish energy and restore vitality. Maybe an astrology session is up for you. Think of Mars retrograde as preparation for your new chapter.
Remember, you’re in good company… we’re all in the same boat! I look forward to meeting and working with you at DeHart Studios.

SUN SIGN* HOROSCOPES – APRIL 2016
She can look you in the eye and without missing a beat, tell you she fell in love with an older woman, broke up with Mark Zuckerburg, and solved murders sporting multiple piercings and a dragon tattoo… all because she chose acting over the family business. This Aries was made for the silver screen. Many happy returns, to April birthday star, Rooney Mara!
Aries: March 20 – April 19 Your optimism and striving has a playful enthusiasm only a Ram can pull off. Shaking up the status quo with a new venture and a new image demands that integrity is your middle name. Avoid manipulating the outcome like the plague.
Taurus: April 20 – May 20 There’s no need to prove to the world how dutiful, sober and committed you are, but please dear Bull, don’t toss out common sense. Think twice before putting yourself at risk trying to save someone who may not want to be rescued.
Gemini: May 21 – June 20 Hoping to penetrate that coat of armor your partner is wearing, dear Butterfly? Try understanding the reason it’s being worn. Flirtatious overtures may land like a ton of bricks if what your person really needs is to know you’re in it for the long haul.
Cancer: June 21 – July 21 While it may not be Moonchild’s preferred style, the candid approach could act like a much-needed breath of fresh air in your professional circle. Consider keeping the kid gloves close at hand for sensitive, intimate encounters.
Leo: July 22 – August 22 One step forward and two steps back is a dance that tests how serious we are. Re-working a new concept may be frustrating initially, but our Lioness won’t be sorry when the end result is a more dynamic iteration of your original idea.
Virgo: August 23 – September 22 Your ability to respond with tolerance and understanding when someone close to you has a tantrum takes confidence and maturity. Awareness of your own triggers helps to prevent mountains from becoming molehills.
Libra: September 23 – October 22 The love planet spends most of April infusing your relationships with spontaneity and fun. If you want to get in on the action, a road trip could very well set the stage for an adventure with old friends that won’t disappoint.
Scorpio: October 23 – November 21 Our Phoenix is ready to climb another step on that steep stairwell which has described your sibling relationships. Holding back from asserting yourself in the family constellation may be a survival strategy you no longer need.
Sagittarius: November 22 – December 20 What will grow our Wanderer’s reputation this month is not that bright, encyclopedic mind but a steady, measured demeanor which can hold others in their most vulnerable moments. Compassion is a kind of intelligence.
Capricorn: December 21 – January 20 Whether it’s singing in a church choir, broadcasting the news, or telling a story to a child, when our Goat taps in to power of using your voice as an instrument, you benefit just as much as your audience.
Aquarius: January 21 – February 18 Cautious optimism fuels your explorations into an entrepreneurial endeavor that invites our Visionary to experiment with using latent artistic talents. It’s your belief in eventual success that draws investors.
Pisces: 19 February – March 19 It’s disconcerting to feel suspicious of a friend’s motives. All you really have control over is your own behavior, so rather than jump to conclusions, choose to spend time with someone who inspires trust and confidence and see what shifts.
